The WIAA requested a user-friendly website that would be used as an informative and assistive tool for their users and staff.
Upon review of the WIAA site, a number of issues were discovered.
Using WIAA statistics, user feedback, and the incorporation of user personas, an organizational structure of site components were placed into intuitive categories.
In collaborative brainstorming sessions, we took advantage of sketching to spur ideas for design and innovative functionality.
Wireframing created a visual mapping and purpose for the placement of the user interface elements. Each interface element had a reason and a purpose.
Design principles of simplicity and consistency were critical to the visual design to reduce user confusion and draw the eye to specific "Call-to-Action" areas.
The new WIAA website received rave reviews from its users. The WIAA staff no longer had to field calls from frustrated website users, allowing them more time to facilitate their WIAA tasks.
